Inscribed ‘Painted by Chandler. Engraved by Facius. The Right Honble Charles George LORD ARDEN, one of the Lords of His Majesty’s Bedchamber & one of His Majesty’s most Honble Privy Council. 1806’ and pencilled ‘1786’. Crest inscribed ‘SVB CRVCE CANDIDA’.
Charles George Arden, Baron Arden was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1786.
