Head and shoulders portrait of Philip D’Auvergne turned to the right as viewed and looking back to viewer. He wears military-style coat with braiding and epaulettes, and a cravat. In an oval frame.
Inscribed ‘Engd by Ridley from an Original Miniature. PRINCE of BOUILLON. Pub. By I. Gold, 103, Shoe Lane, March , 30 1805’. Crest with scroll inscribed ‘NOUS NE CHANGEONS JAMAIS.’ Pencilled ‘Philip D’Auvergne. 1786’.
Philip D’Auvergne, Duc de Bouillon was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1786.
