    Head and shoulders portrait of Daines Barrington, wearing long wig and dressed in cassock and bands. In an oval frame.

    Inscribed ‘European Magazine. Engraved by Bromley from a painting by Drummond. THE HON. DAINES BARRINGTON.’ and pencilled ‘1767’.

    Daines Barrington was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1767, he served as Vice-President from 1771 until 1774.
