Head and shoulders portrait of John Boyle, 5th Earl of Cork, 5th Earl of Orrery and 2nd Baron Marston, wearing full length curled wig and dressed in coat over decorative waistcoat. Oval in a rectangular frame.
Inscribed ‘JOHN BOYLE EARL of CORKE and ORRERY Pub. Feby, 1. 1807 by J. Scott 442 Strand’ and pencilled ‘1746’.
Portrait of John Boyle was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1746.
