                                Head and shoulders portrait of William Brouncker, 2nd Viscount Brouncker, his body facing left and his face turned in half-profile. He wears long natural hair and is dressed in loose robe with lace falling collar. 
Inscribed ‘WILLIAM VISCOUNT BROUNKER. From a drawing after Sr. Peter Lely in the Collection of R.S. Tighe Esqr. Publish’d 23 June 1798 by S. Harding. 127 Pall Mall & P. Brown Gown St. Soho’ and pencilled ‘1663’.
William Brouncker, 2nd Viscount Brouncker was a founding Fellow of the Royal Society and appointed first President in 1662.
