    Description
    Anatomical study of the human gravid uterus in the ninth month of pregnancy. The abdomen is shown from the right side and dissected with the layers of tissue and skin pinned back exposing the outer uterine wall with the abdominal organs and diaphragm.

    William Hunter (1718-1783) was a British physician, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1767.
