Full length portrait of Otto Loewi as a child, wearing a gown with ribbon around the waist and seated in a high backed chair. In an oval frame.
Inscribed on the card support, front lower centre ‘CABINET-PORTRAIT. F.STOCKLAS IN BADEN’ and ‘Fotograf Atetier. F. STOCKLAS in BADEN. Neugasse No.57’ on the reverse centre and ‘Otto Loewi’ handwritten in old German script on the reverse top centre.
Otto Loewi was a German pharmacologist, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1954.
