    Inscribed on separate paper ‘HENRY BAKER, Fellow of the Royal and Antiquarian Societies and of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. Author of ‘The Microscope made easy’ ‘Employment for the Microscope’ and other works. Born May 8. 1698; died Novr. 25 1774.’ And pencilled ‘1740 Henry Baker’ on paper support.

    Henry Baker (1698-1774) was a British naturalist, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1741.
