    Ornithological studies: figure 1 the Biak paradise kingfisher Tanysiptera riedrlii, a bird native to Biak island, Indonesia; and figure 2 the Lesser Antillean pewee Contopus latirostris (here styled Myiobius latirostris) a bird native to the Caribbean. Both birds are shown on a tree branch.
