Inscribed in pencil below: ‘Sir T. D. Acland 1838’. Various inscriptions verso, including a price lower right, ‘7/6’ and upper left ‘51654’.
Sir Thomas Dyke Acland, tenth baronet (1787-1871) British politician and philanthropist was not a Fellow of the Royal Society.
