    Head and shoulders portrait of William Cheselden in three-quarter profile to the left as viewed and wearing a cap. Oval in a rectangular frame.

    Inscribed ‘Wm. CHESELDEN, Esq; F.R.S. Richardson Pinxit. Cook Sculpt. Published by W.Bent, Paternoster row.’ And pencilled ‘1711’.

    William Cheselden was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1711.
