Half-length portrait of John Cooke, seated in three-quarter profile to the left as viewed. He wears regency-style clothes and spectacles.

Facsimile signature ‘J Cooke MD FRS’ on separate paper and inscribed ‘J.COOKE MD FRS. 1821’ on paper support.

John Cooke (1756-1838) was a British physician, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1821.
