    Half-length portrait of Clayton Mordaunt Cracherode seated in three-quarter profile to the left as viewed and set in the corner of a room with desk and books. He wears short wig and collarless coat.

    Inscribed ‘Engraved by R. Cooper. Clayton Mordaunt Cracherode. M.A. Published Augt. 1st. 1817. By W. Clarke. New Bond Street’ and pencilled ‘1785’.

    Clayton Mordaunt Cracherode (1730-1799) was a British clergyman, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1785.
