Description
Head and shoulders portrait of Thomas Dimsdale in three-quarter profile to the right as viewed. He wears mid-length wig with single-breasted coat, waistcoat and cravat.
Inscribed on separate paper and pasted below ‘BARON THOMAS DIMSDALE, F.R.S.’
Thomas Dimsdale (1712-1800) was a British doctor, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1769.
