Zoological studies two piglets. Figure 1 (above) A young wild boar Sus scrofa scrofa. Figure 2 (below) a suckling domestic piglet Sus scrofa. Side views of both animals, in natural and farmyard landscapes respectively.

Louis Jean Marie Daubenton (1716-1800), French naturalist and encyclopaedist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1755.
