The donation is recorded in the Royal Society Minutes of Council, 17 December 1992 [CMO/79]: 'Noted that the President had accepted on behalf of the Society, the gift of a bust of Niels Bohr (elelcted a Foreign Member of the Society in 1926) by the Danish sculptor Harold Isenstein, from the Danish Novo Nordisk Foundation.'
