Maquette of a full figure of Isaac Newton, inclined to the left as viewed. He wears full robes with neckbands and buckled shoes. Standing in active pose with left foot forward and hands raised in front. On a marbleised pedestal in a glazed case.
Base inscribed ‘QUI GEAUS HUMANUM GENIO SUPERAVIT.’
Sir Isaac Newton was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1672, he served as its President from 1703 to 1727.
