Description
Half-length portrait of a young King George IV when he was still the Prince of Wales. The young prince is depicted in a high-necked jacket with a frilled collar. He wears a medallion of a mounted figure on a ribbon around his neck and the cross of St George is emblazoned on his left sleeve. His head is turned slightly towards the left. The portrait it shown in an oval frame with a plume of ostrich feathers behind.
