    Head and shoulders portrait of John Flaxman in three-quarter profile to the left as viewed. He wears regency-style clothing with a high-collared waistcoat, overcoat and shirt.

    Inscribed ‘JOHN FLAXMAN.’

    John Flaxman R.A. (1755 – 1826) was a British sculptor and draughtsman, he was not a Fellow of the Royal Society.
