    Head and shoulders portrait of John Fothergill, he wears mid-length periwig with a collarless coat and cravat. In an oval frame.

    Inscribed ‘R. Livesay pincs. F. Bartolozzi sculp. JOHN FOTHERGILL M.D. F.R.S. Oui suas artes, sua dona laetus et herbam et venae salientis ietum scive concessit, celerem et medendi Delius usum. From a Bust in the Possession of Dr. Lettsom.’ Pencilled ‘1763.’

    John Fothergill (1712-1780) British physician, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1763.
