Description
Head and shoulders portrait of William Garrow in left hand profile as viewed. He wears periwig with queue and is dressed in cassock and bands.
Inscribed ‘J. Purden sculpt. William Garrow Esqr. Published as the Act directs by the Proprietor, No. 12 Camden Street, Islington, June 1st 1801.’ Pencilled ‘1807’ lower left hand corner.
William Garrow (1760-1840) was a British barrister, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1807.
