    Head and shoulders portrait of Simon Harcourt in left profile. He wears buckled wig with queue and is dressed in a coat with shirt and necktie. In a round frame.

    Inscribed ‘EARL of HARCOURT. P Falconet de. 1768. D. Pariset Sculpt.’ Pencilled ‘1752’ in the lower left hand corner.

    Simon Harcourt, 1st Earl of Harcourt (1714-1777) British diplomat and Viceroy to Ireland, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1753.
