    Description
    Head and shoulders portrait of Prince Henry, Duke of Cumberland and Strathearn in three-quarter profile to the left as viewed. He wears a wig tied with queue and is dressed in robes and Garter collar. In an oval frame surmounted with a crown and decorated with flags and a book.

    Inscribed ‘S J Reynolds. E Scriven Sculpt. HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS the LATE DUKE of CUMBERLAND.’ Pencilled ‘1789.’

    Prince Henry, Duke of Cumberland and Strathearn (1745-1790) elected a Royal Fellow of the Royal Society in 1789.
