Inscribed ‘John Can Hobhouse Esq. M.P. F.R.S. Proof.’ Pencilled ‘1814’ lower left hand corner.
John Can Hobhouse, Baron Broughton de Gyfford (1786-1869) British politician, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1814.
