Study of the monument to Robert Hoblyn at St. Columb Church, Cornwall. Decorative plaque with a bust of Hoblyn in classical style with draped shoulders.
Inscribed ‘ROBERT HOBLYN of Nanswhyden Esqr. Died Nov 17. MDCCLVI. Aged XLVI.’
Robert Hoblyn (1710-1756) British politician and book collector, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1745.
