Head and shoulders portrait of Thomas Hollis in right profile. He wears buckled wig with queue. In an oval frame.
Inscribed ‘THOMAS HOLLIS, Esqr. F.R.S.’ and inked ‘Thomas Hollis FRS’ on paper support with his date of election pencilled lower left.
Thomas Hollis (1720-1774) British political philosopher, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1757.
