Head and shoulders portrait of Edward Hooper in three-quarter profile to the right as viewed. He wears buckled wig with queue. In an oval frame.
Inscribed ‘Edward Hooper FRS’ on paper support with his date of election pencilled lower left.
Edward Hooper (ca. 1701-1795) British commissioner of customs, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1759.
