    Inscribed ‘REVD. F. W. HOPE, M.A. F.R.S. F.S.S. F.Z.S. &c &c.’ Pencilled ‘1834’ on paper support, lower left.

    Frederick William Hope (1797-1862) British entomologist, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1834.
