    Head and shoulders portrait of Edward Hyde, 1st Earl of Clarendon inclined to the right and looking out to viewer. He wears decorated robes and falling lace collar. In an octagonal frame.

    Inscribed ‘Sir P. Lely P. W. Haines S. EARL OF CLARENDON.’

    Portrait Edward Hyde, 1st Earl of Clarendon (1609-1674) British statesman, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1665.
