    Head and shoulders portrait of Andrew Kippis wearing mid-length wig with tricorn hat and dressed in buttoned jacket, waistcoat and necktie. In an oval frame.

    Inscribed ‘Engraved by Ridley from an Original Picture in the Possession of the Revd, Mr. Summer. Andrew Kippis, D.D. F.R.S. & S.A. Published as the Act directs by Vernor & Hood, 31 Poultry, Septr. 30. 1799.’

    Andrew Kippis (1726-1795) British clergyman, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1779.
