Head and shoulders sketch of Charles Vernon Boys, profiled to the left as viewed. He is depicted in a shirt, a tie and a formal jacket. Thick pencil etchings indicate the dark colour of his jacket, while lighter etchings indicate shadow and wrinkles on Boys’ neck and face.
Inscribed in pencil: ‘RAS Paget Dinner to Sir Chas Boys. Phys Soc Club. 8. 5. 35.’
