Description
Etching of locusts, with inscriptions in ink, included in a letter written to 'a Divine in London'. The letter described a swarm of locusts which arrived in Jena from Vienna on 18 August 1693, and tasted like a kind of 'Eastern Locust'. This correspondent had printed a tract on the incident, from which this image was sent.
