    A figure in text showing a second satellite of Saturn (Japet) observed by Jean Dominique Cassini on 25 October 1671. This description was sent to Henry Oldenburg by Francis Vernon in a letter dated 30 December 1671. It was read at the meeting of the Royal Society on 11 January 1672 and printed in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London, vol. 8, no. 92 (1673).
