    Description
Diagram in John Flamsteed's observation of the transit of Mars, communicated in a letter to Henry Oldenburg dated Derby, 27 July 1672. The letter was printed in John Flamsteed, 'Some astronomical observations in part already made, partly to be made', Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol. 7, no. 86 (August 1672), pp. 5034-42 (p. 5042).

It appears that this is the original diagram by Flamsteed included with his letter of 27 July 1672 to Oldenburg, and then glued into the Letter Book.

A copy of this diagram can be found in LBC/5/341.
