Description
Two drawings of Jupiter.
A figure in the text indicating the position of the satellites of Jupiter observed on 26 September 1664.
A larger drawing of Jupiter which is marked 'La figure est renversée' (the figure is reversed). This no longer makes sense, since the spot present on the surface in the original drawing has been omitted.
From a copy of the letter from Christian Huygens to Robert Moray dated 24 December 1665 at LBO/1/284; the figure in the original letter is at EL/H1/53/004. There is another copy at EL/H1/54/002.
