    Object history
    At the meeting of the Royal Society on 17 December 1690, ‘Mr Waller’s Paper about the Generation of Todpoles [sic] or Young Frogs, was read, wherein he gave the Bigness of the Black Specks in the Spawn of a Frog, as they chang’d from time to time, til they had attained the true figures of the Tadpoles’ (JBO/9/21).
