Woodcut showing the coat of arms of Christ's Hospital, London, printed at the top of a printed form with an invitation to a committee meeting in March 1685. The reverse of the slip contains Robert Hooke's notes.
Hooke was a governor of Christ's Hospital and, along with a number of other Fellows of the Royal Society including Sir Jonas Moore and Samuel Pepys, was involved with the Royal Mathematical School, a branch of Christ's Hospital School.
