    Diagram showing the phases of the solar eclipse observed at Gresham College by Francis Willughby, Walter Pope, Henry Phillips and Robert Hooke on 22 June 1666. It was read to the meeting on 27 June 1666 and printed in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol. 1, no. 17 (September 1666).
    Object history
    At the meeting of the Royal Society on 27 June 1666, 'The observations of the solar eclipse on the 22nd of June, made by Mr. Willughby, Dr. Pope, Mr. Hooke, and Mr. Philips were also communicated, and ordered to be registered' (Birch 1:100).

    Printed as 'Observations made in several places, of the late eclipse of the sun, which happened on the 22nd of June, 1666', Phil. Trans., vol. 1, no. 17 (September 9, 1666), pp. 295-97, with observations from Paris and Madrid added and without the diagram.
