    Description
    These appear to be the original figures of Jean Dominique Cassini's observations of the sunspots (8 and 14 August 1676) and the ring of Saturn, enclosed with his letter dated 26 August 1676 to Henry Oldenburg (EL/C1/71). His annotations have been crossed out and figure numbers added for publication. These were printed in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol. 11, no. 128 (1676), tab. 2.
