Inscribed: “J.Z. Bell. J. Holl. Marshall Hall [as a facsimile signature] M.D. F.R.S. Printed by McQueen. WHITTAKER & Co. AVE MARIA LANE. 1839”. Inscribed in pencil lower left: “1832”; lower right “1/6”.
Marshall Hall was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1832.
