    Drawing of a double microscope furnished with a micrometer. The letter containing this image discusses how to use this for the exact measuring of mercury in a weather glass. Drawing in letter from Stephen Gray to Hans Sloane dated at Canterbury, 2 May 1698. The letter was read to the Royal Society on 4 May 1698. This image was printed in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol. 20, no. 240 (May 1698), pp. 176-78.
