Description
Three figures of microscopic observations sent in a letter from Daniel Mitz, dated at Amsterdam, to the Royal Society. The first two figures are globules of steel struck off by a flint, and the third is the penis of a fly.
The letter was translated by Francis Lodwik and was read to the Royal Society on 7 December 1692.

7 December 1692, 'Mr Mitts [sic] his Letter concerning the Globules of Steel struck off by the Flint in striking fire, as also of the structure of the Penis of a Fly, was read, as it was translated by Mr Lodwick' (JBO/9/103-4).
