Description
Diagrams in a letter from Renatus Franciscus Slusius to Henry Oldenburg, dated 10 March 1670. The first set of diagrams relate to Slusius's procedure for finding the foci of any conic section. The figure in the middle of the letter illustrates the 'universal paradigm of the cubic equation with positive coefficients' (Correspondence of Henry Oldenburg, ed. by Hall and Hall, vol. 6, p. 524).
There are copies of the first set of diagrams at LBO/3/293 and LBC/3/364.
