Description
Three diagrams representing Saturn and its rings.
This is a letter dated 30 September 1661 at The Hague, from Christian Huygens, probably to M. Thevenot. Huygens thanks the recipient of the letter for the copy of a letter by B. de Frenicle de Bessy about the observations of Saturn. This might refer to a copy of a letter by Frenicle that was sent to Huygens by M. Thevenot on 25 September 1661 (see the Huygens Correspondence in Œuvres Complètes (The Hague, 1888-1950), letter no. 901).
This letter is not published in the Huygens Correspondence.
