Description
Double horizontal sundial plate, inscribed ‘Johannes Marke Londini fecit. 1667’. The dial’s longitude value (51 degrees 32 minutes) indicates that the instrument was intended to be used in the vicinity of London.
This paper contains two images (recto and verso), both reversed-out and therefore printed from the engraved instrument itself. The recto version is crisper than the verso print.
Engraving found among the papers or Robert Boyle.
