    Description
    Three figures describing the lines of the equator and tropics, the horizon and the position of the Sun. Each figure has associated explanatory text. In figure 1 (upper left), the line A-B represents the horizon, line F-G the equator, and lines E-D and C-H are the tropics.

    Possibly intended as a guide to the principle of calculating position based upon solar observation.
