    Profiles (as viewed from the sea) of three Atlantic islands: Madeira (here styled ‘Maderas’), currently part of Portugal; La Palma (here styled ‘Palme’), one of the Canary Islands, currently part of Spain; and Ascension island (here styled ‘New Ascension’), now part of the British Overseas Territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. The names and sizes of the islands are noted.
