Chemical installation, including furnace, alembic and two glass vessels, in a text on preparing the optimal (al)chemical solution.
These drawings and texts are part of a collection of treatises on alchemy, physical and mathematical sciences for 'Count Guido', entitled 'Libro varissimo del Conte Guido di materie Fisicke & Mathematicke', dated before 1650.
The manuscript was presented to the Royal Society in 1947 by the Somerset Archaeological and Natural History Society.
