Description
Botanical study of white wheat ['wheat without awns'] (Triticum spica mutica) with a flower detail. Signed ‘Ric: Waller pinx[it]’ (Richard Waller painted this). Unlike on his other drawings, Waller did not record the reference to John Ray’s Synopsis Methodica Stirpium Britannicarum (London, 1690), though it is from p. 177, no. 1.
