Description
A proof sheet of an ivory bodkin out of the bladder of a young woman (Dorcas Blake) in Dublin. At the top is the instruction to Henry Hunt ('Mr Hunt, this figure must be added') that this figure was to be added to the plate for Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol. 22 no. 260 (1700), where it is indeed marked at 'fig. 7'.
